Vinu Kumar
Vinu is an Australian Legal Practitioner. Before transitioning as a lawyer, Vinu started his career as a manufacturing engineer and further managed large businesses as a senior commercial and contracts manager. Vinu completed a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Master of Commercial law from Australian Universities.
At FCL Lawyers, Vinu provides his expertise to our clients in commercialising their technical projects, legal advice for contractual matters and working with clients from the concept stage to preparing legally binding documents.
He helps clients foresee and mitigate risks and potential liabilities in contractual documents. In addition, Vinu also deals with family matters; his life experience and calm and composed nature give our clients an added advantage when dealing with their difficult situations.
Vinu’s expertise also spans Tender submission, terms and conditions review, handling commercial contracts, leasing and subleasing arrangements, contract negotiations, wills and probate, conveyancing and property matters, and intellectual property, including trademark registration.

Shavi
Shavi completed a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the United Kingdom and a Master of Commerce from an Australian University. Shavi started his career as a Fraud Analyst and a Lawyer in several Australian companies and firms. At FCL Lawyers, Shavi provides his expertise to our clients in Employment, Debt recoveries, Wills and probates, Immigration, commercial and other civil legal advice for different matters. Shavi speaks fluent English and Sinhalese.

Thara Sujithkumar
Thara Sujithkumar is a highly respected Australian Legal Practitioner with over 10 years of experience, specialising in family law. With legal qualifications from both India and Australia, Thara brings a global perspective and a deep understanding of the Australian legal system to every case she handles.
As the Principal Lawyer and Co-Founder of FCL Lawyers, Thara has built a strong reputation for her compassionate and strategic approach to complex family law matters. From parenting disputes and property settlements to divorce proceedings and domestic violence cases, she has guided countless clients through some of the most challenging moments of their lives with clarity, care, and professionalism.
Thara’s strength lies in her ability to listen closely, advocate fiercely, and offer practical solutions tailored to her clients’ unique situations. She understands the emotional weight family law matters often carry and is committed to helping clients navigate these situations with dignity and confidence. In addition to her expertise in family law, Thara has gained experience across civil litigation, property disputes, and criminal matters during her time with prominent law firms in Australia. However, her true passion remains helping families find resolution and move forward.

Susan Shandil
Susan Shandil is a distinguished Senior Solicitor at FCL Lawyers, recognized for her extensive legal knowledge and commitment to her clients. She possesses a diverse educational background, having earned a degree in Law alongside Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Management. In addition to her undergraduate studies, Susan has further distinguished herself by obtaining a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) and a Master’s degree in Law (LLM).
After completing her education, Susan was formally admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Fiji, as well as the Supreme Court of Victoria in Australia. Her qualifications extend into the South Pacific jurisdiction, allowing her to address a wide array of legal issues across various territories. This versatility enhances her ability to serve clients with diverse needs and interests.
In parallel with her legal practice, Susan has made substantial contributions to the field of academia. She began her career in education in 2001 at Central Queensland University, where she took on the role of Lecturer. Her responsibilities included designing and delivering engaging course content in Human Resource Management and English. Over the years, she has also taught Law at several esteemed Australian universities.
Susan’s areas of specialization include Family Law, Criminal Law, and Commercial Law. Her extensive skill set and comprehensive understanding of these fields enable her to navigate intricate legal challenges effectively. Whether representing clients in family disputes, defending against criminal charges, or advising on commercial transactions, Susan advocates vigorously on behalf of her clients, ensuring their rights and interests are well represented in every situation. Mohd.Zeeshan Ashraf
Zeeshan was admitted to practice law in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia in 2023. Zeeshan holds a Master of Laws, a Bachelor of Laws and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.
Since entering the profession, Zeeshan has established expertise in estate and succession planning, taxation matters, commercial law and trust law.
Outside of work, Zeeshan enjoys playing cricket, working out at the gym, and exploring the stunning beaches of Australia.

Gurpreet Singh
Gurpreet Singh is a dedicated legal professional who completed his Bachelor of Laws from Griffith University in July 2024 and Practical Legal Training (PLT) at the College of Law in 2025. He is set to be admitted as an Officer of the Supreme Court in July 2025.
Gurpreet actively practices family, migration, and contractual law, offering strategic legal solutions tailored to his client’s needs. His strong analytical skills and client-centred approach enable him to navigate complex legal matters effectively.
Outside of his legal career, Gurpreet enjoys spending quality time with his family and maintains an active lifestyle by regularly attending the gym. His commitment to professional excellence and personal well-being reflects his well-rounded and disciplined approach to life and law.

Kritima is a dedicated and experienced legal professional, admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales. With over a decade of legal experience, she specialises in general legal practice, with a strong focus on immigration and family law. After earning a Master’s degree in Law from India, Kritima pursued further studies in Australia to have her qualifications recognised—demonstrating a strong commitment to professional growth and a deep understanding of cross-jurisdictional legal systems. Kudzai Muringani
Kudzai is a solicitor on the team at FCL Lawyers, bringing a results-driven and client-focused approach to family, commercial, and property law. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honors) from Monash University and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Leo Cussen Centre for Law.
Kudzai has extensive experience in managing diverse legal matters, including property settlements, parenting disputes, and drafting commercial agreements. She is skilled in preparing detailed legal documents such as affidavits, wills, and contracts, and excels in conducting thorough legal research to provide tailored advice. Dhruvit is a solicitor at FCL Lawyers, practising in family law, commercial law, and wills and estates. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Monash University and was admitted to practice in 2024, having gained four years of experience in family law prior to admission.
With the guiding principle “Divorce with dignity”, Dhruvit is dedicated to assisting clients through complex and often sensitive matters with professionalism, empathy, and clarity. His practice includes property settlements, parenting disputes, commercial agreements, and estate planning, where he is recognised for delivering clear, practical advice and tailored solutions.

Sumi Kilic is a Legal Assistant at FCL Lawyers and a graduate of Victoria University, where she completed her Bachelor of Laws. In her role, Sumi provides vital legal support across a broad spectrum of practice areas, including family law, criminal law, wills and estates, property and conveyancing, intervention orders, and personal injury matters.
With strong skills in legal research, drafting, and client assistance, Sumi works closely with the firm’s principal solicitors to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services. She is dedicated to supporting clients with professionalism and care while assisting the team in achieving the best possible outcomes.

Yahila Kumarasinghe
Yahila Kumarasinghe holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Master of Justice and Criminology, together with a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. She was admitted as a lawyer to the Supreme Court of Victoria in November 2024.
Yahila has gained extensive experience across personal injury, institutional abuse, and class action matters, working closely with clients who have faced significant hardship and trauma. Her work reflects a deep commitment to achieving fair outcomes and empowering clients through every stage of the legal process.

Krishna Santhosh
Krishna Santhosh has a decade of legal experience in both litigation and advisory practice, with a proven track record across civil, corporate, real estate, and cross-border legal matters in commonwealth jurisdictions.
Her professional expertise includes streamlining legal workflows, enhancing drafting quality and turnaround times, and implementing structured processes that support effective collaboration across legal teams.
In addition to her operational leadership, Krishna is a certified POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) Trainer in India and has advised organisations on statutory compliance and workplace governance. She is also recognised for her expertise in translating legal documents from Indian languages into English, supporting legal proceedings in the Supreme Court of India as well as international proceedings and cross-border legal requirements.
Recognised for her strategic insight, attention to detail, and results-driven leadership, Krishna plays a key role in ensuring the firm’s legal services are delivered with precision, accountability, and consistency.
Outside her legal career Krishna enjoys travelling to new destinations, motorcycling and reading fiction.
